Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Loses 7 Billion Dollars 2021
Mark Zuckerberg is the richest man in the world, but he now has lost more than a billion dollars. You can read about his loss at Business Insider and it may shock you. However, where’s the rest of the $US7 Billion? How much does Facebook (company) now earn? Let’s find out.
As we know, Zuckerberg & Company is based in a building uptown called Menlo Park in Silicon Valley. This sort of house has many educational, medical, and commercial.
On a mapping of this house, Facebook has several buildings, a college campus, a research center, several campuses, and so on. The building’s area where these properties would add up to is thousands of acres. If the total revenue earned is all from online marketing they are making billions (spend #$US1.3 Billion on marketing per year) and yet Zuckerberg wants to be driven to a grid mirroring how you get around in a normal town? Facebook doesn’t make money. Facebook makes noise. People come to hear their music. They have listed in the conference rooms, in the coffee breaks, etc.
Facebook doesn’t even make its own brands. Even the current brands that millions of users are liking aren’t produced within Facebook. However, users keep coming for the content. As such, the Facebook website keeps growing day after day.
Over the past few years, there have been lots of questions and anger over privacy issues. Between online advertising and spreading fake news, we know people are really unhappy.
However, what we don’t know is how much money is Facebook’s contribution to the economy. What’s $US7 Billion of customers and advertisers? Is that a high percentage of the other billions spent by the Facebook companies?
Furthermore, will other Facebook companies that make money outside of social media be affected by this? We will probably see Facebook not respond as much as they always have.
We will also see increased studies over the next couple of years on the levels of privacy users are expecting, general thoughts, and less privacy using social networks.
This doesn’t worry me. I don’t think people will blame other Facebook entities when they were born in the company. I believe they will keep coming for the content that marketers value. This is how the future of Facebook’s revenue stream will be done.
That’s because Facebook makes more money if they have thousands of users who are engaged and active. If you are sending scores to the users, you can make a lot of money off them. Unfortunately, Facebook isn’t as engaged as it used to be and the numbers of users who are even using this social network are diminishing. There will be more research in the future. I don’t know exactly how much money advertisers can make with all these customers, but I’m going to guess many more people are signing up every month and downloading the app than keeping.
Facebook is under a lot of pressure from people all over the world. Will they be too successful, too effective, and boring to watch? Will we always be talking about Mark Zuckerberg?
